GunZ Weapons — The Complete RealGunz Weapon List
GunZ has one of the deepest weapon systems in any online shooter — a mix of melee, side-arms, primary firearms and utility, all swappable mid-fight thanks to the fast weapon-swap animation. This guide is a complete reference for every weapon category on RealGunz, with tier explanations and where to acquire each.
Weapon slots
Every character equips up to 6 slots:
- Slot 1 — Melee (Kodachi / Katana / Dagger)
- Slot 2 — Primary firearm (Rifle / Shotgun / Rocket)
- Slot 3 — Secondary firearm (Pistol / Revolver / Machine Pistol)
- Slot 4 — Grenades / utility
- Slot 5 — Second grenade / medkit
- Slot 6 — Special (rarely used)
Melee weapons
Kodachi (dual short swords)
The K-Style meta pick. Fast swing speed, three-hit combo, and the pivot animation that unlocks butterfly + half-step. If you plan to duel seriously, Kodachi is the answer.
Katana (single long sword)
Slower than Kodachi but hits harder per swing. Better for quest tanking than PvP.
Dagger
Fastest swing speed of any melee, lowest damage. Situationally useful for canceling — see the K-Style guide.
Firearms
Pistols
Dual-wielding pistols is the classic GunZ silhouette. Balanced damage, generous magazine size, fast reload. Good all-round pick for new players.
Revolvers
High damage per shot, small magazine (6 rounds), slow reload. Rewards accuracy. Meta pick for high-tier duels where each shot matters.
Shotguns
Devastating at close range, useless at long. Pair with Kodachi for the classic slash-shot combo — see the K-Style guide.
Rifles
Long-range hitscan (or slow projectile depending on model). Best for quest maps and ranged team-mode play.
Rocket Launcher
Splash damage, slow reload. Powerful vs bosses (see Bosses Guide) but risky vs skilled duelists who can dodge.
Machine Pistols / SMGs
Full-auto side-arms. High DPS at close range, tricky to control.
Grenades & utility
- Frag grenade — standard explosive.
- Flashbang — blinds enemies for 2s.
- Smoke — line-of-sight breaker for team modes.
- Med kit — heals 40% HP over 4s.
Tier system
Every item on RealGunz sits in one of five tiers:

Higher-tier weapons are cosmetic upgrades of lower-tier ones with the same base stats — the game stays balanced at the top end. Cosmetics come from the LuckyBox, Ticket Shop and event drops.
